What is Calendar Mine?

Calendar Mine is a PC based, interactive, personal calendar. It brings the beauty of a paper wall calendar and the availability of a desktop blotter to your PC. Calendar Mine is a perpetual calendar, providing accurate date information starting in 1583 up until the year 2500. Your customers will like its attractive display, its ease to use, and its rich functionality.

Calendar Mine was designed to have something for everyone. It is multicultural, accurately calculating over 400 different national, religious, and ethnic holidays. In addition, it also calculates dates and times which are based on the user's geographic location. These include Islamic Prayer Times, Best Fishing Times, Solar, and Lunar Events.

One of Calendar Mine's greatest feature is that it is theme based. Calendar mine can be custom configured for individual users. Things that can be customized include: monthly images, holiday selection, calendar layout, colors, Internet links, and the user's personal events (such as birthdays, anniversaries, etc.).

 

What is the Calendar Mine - Printer Partner Program?

RPM Development, the creator of Calendar Mine software, is seeking to partner with printers who currently design and print customized paper wall calendars. Our Printer Partners simply agree to offer their customers a customized version of Calendar Mine software on CD. By adding Calendar Mine to their current product line, our Partners benefit by

• Diversifying their calendar product offerings
• Earning additional revenue from product sales
• Distinguishing themselves from competitors who do not offer anything like it
• Attract new customers who would prefer a high quality software calendar to a paper one
• Creating more year round calendar sales
• Customer referrals from our marketing efforts
• Repeat business from software and theme upgrades

In addition, the customized personal calendars given to your customers will default to your contact information, email address, and contain links to your web site. Everytime, your customer uses the software, or shows it to others, it becomes an advertisement for your firm.

What we provide to your customers would be a unique customized version of our software on CD. This version would include the customer's images, the customer's selection of built-in holidays, any event dates the customer would like on the calendar, and customer specified titles and text. We would also customize the look of the calendar to resemble your paper-based product. We can even customize the labeling of the CD to reflect your business. Our goal would be to provide your customers with a PC based product, which is as close as possible to your paper based product.

 

How does the program work?

You take your customer's order for a customized version of Calendar Mine. Send us the customer's images, and the customer's specifications (holidays, events, titles, etc.). Once we receive the order, we will do all the rest. We will configure the software, make up the CDs, and perform our Quality Control check on them. We would then ship the order to you, or directly to your customer.

For large volume orders, such as a Business promotional Calendar order, we would first create a few sample CDs, submit them to your customer for approval. Once your customer approves our sample, then we will reproduce the volume of CDs ordered.

 

What if I wish to fill my own orders?

If your firm would prefer to fill your customer's orders in-house, and not send them to us, we can provide you with all the software, documentation, and support needed to do just that. What are some ways Calendar Mine can be offered to my customers?

Calendar Mine can be offered in at least 3 ways:

• Customized Personal Calendar - customized calendars are made for for personal use, and as gifts to friends, and relatives. Typical customizations include images, holiday selections, and personal event dates. Orders are usually small in size.
• Business Promotional Calendars - calendar CDs are given to a business's customers in the same way as paper calendars. Customizations include images appropriate for the business, business event dates, Internet links to the business's web site, email, and contact information. The newest version of Calendar Mine also includes the ability to update schedules and images dynamically over the Internet. Orders are usually large quantities, and require a high degree of customization. Volume pricing is available.
• Fundraising Calendars - charitable groups, church groups, nonprofits, teams, or clubs may wish to develop and sell an appropriate custom calendar for fundraising purposes. For example, a local team may create a calendar with team pictures, and game schedules. The calendar then can be sold to supporters, relatives, etc., as a fundraising item. With our newest version, game schedules and results can be dynamically updated over the Internet. Discounted pricing is available for fundraising calendars.

With any of the above three offerings, we can also provide an Internet download kit instead of a CD if your customer requests it. The download kit may appeal to businesses that wish to promote their web sites, and increase web site traffic.

 

Why a Calendar Mine calendar? Isn't there plenty of other calendar programs out there?

Most calendar programs are business scheduling programs. They are designed to be utilitarian and generic. They are not very attractive, and very impersonal. On the other hand, Calendar Mine is a personal calendar, not a business calendar. It is attractive, user friendly, and configurable to the individual user. It contains the most culturally diverse selection of built-in holidays available in any calendar today. In addition, being an interactive calendar, it is more flexible than a paper calendar, and can perform date and time calculations specific to a user's needs.

 

How do I get started?

It cost you nothing to get started, just contact Bob Miller by phone (856) 251-0708, or email Bob@CalendarMine.com. We will gather some information about your firm, and answer any additional questions you may have.

If we both decide it’s a good fit, we will put you on our approved partners list. We provide our partners with marketing brochure files, appropriate Internet links, and customized order form files. We will then design a custom Calendar Mine template that resembles your paper-based calendars. We can even provide you with demo copies of the software for marketing use.

 

What about repeat business?

We have strategies for repeat business:

• Option 1 - The standard version of the calendar is perpetual, once a user buys it; they can use it forever. We can modify the version you supply your customers so that it will only run for a specific amount of time (1 year, 2 years), after that, the customer will need to get an upgrade from you.
• Option 2 - You could offer your customers yearly theme upgrades at a discount. Basically you could provide them with a theme upgrade CD which would contain new pictures, holiday selections, etc.

Keep in mind, the software industry is driven by upgrades. Once a user owns a piece of software, they typically upgrade every few years to take advantage of new features. Often they are forced to upgrade as new hardware and new operating systems are released. At RPM Development, we are planning an aggressive schedule of new releases each with features that should appeal to our users. This should ensure repeat business for both you and us.

 

What is the Pricing?

We have priced our product to be competitive with high-end customized paper calendars. In addition, special discounted pricing is available for high volume Business Promotional, and Fund Raising orders.

Overnight shipping of calendars will incur additional shipping costs, depending on carrier and volume of order.

If a customer requires over 12 images for their customized calendar there is an additional one-time scanning charge for each picture.

How about Turn-Around Time?

Once we receive an order, we can usually fill it in one to two business days. Our standard method of shipping is via US Mail. Once we ship your order, you should receive it in about 3 business days.

Some options to improve turn-around time include:

• Overnight shipping
• Electronically sending your order
• Asking us to give this order priority status
• Having us ship the order directly to your customer

If you have a rush order please call or email us and we will be happy to make whatever arrangements necessary expedite it.

If you have a large order, such as a business promotional calendar, we may require additional time in order to fill it. Please check with us so we can give you a time estimate.

 

Whose Label is on the custom calendar?

Yours or ours, you decide. If you would like us to use your label design on your CD orders just let us know. We will be glad to apply your labels to our CDs when we produce them.

If you take an order for business promotional calendars, we will customize CD labels to meet your customers needs.

 

Are marketing materials available?

We will supply you with brochure files, and other marketing materials in MS Word 97 format. You can then edit them to suite your needs, and print them as required. If there is any additional assistance needed in preparing your marketing materials, just let us know, we are glad to help. Or if you have any ideas or suggestions for us to improve our materials, please tell us about them.

 

Do we get the pictures back?

Yes, any pictures sent to us with a calendar order is returned with the customized CDs. When we receive your pictures, we simply scan them into digital format. Our process does not harm your customer's photos in any way.

 

Do you have a web site?

Yes, it is located at www.CalendarMine.com. Currently, we are upgrading our site to provide more product information and support.

The new site will include a special section to assist members of this Printer Partner Program. The new site will contain:

• Marketing materials for your use
• Product order Forms you can print and send with your order
• FAQ's, Tips, and other Information
• online Brochures about Calendar Mine which you can link to
• An online orders area where you can submit orders to us electronically

 

How can we submit an order?

If you are one of our Printing Partners, you can submit you order by Mail, or the shipper of your choice. Your order should include a completed order form, and all photos. Once we receive your order we will email you a confirmation.

If you have the customer's images in electronic format, you can just email them to us, along with the order form. This is the quickest way to submit an order. We will accept images in any commonly used format including JPEG, BMP, DIB, TIFF, GIFF, and PDD. We would recommend that you zip your files before emailing them, it will make the transfer quicker.

We are currently developing an Internet based order platform which would allow you (or your customers) to submit orders to us electronically. However this new platform will need extensive testing before it is generally available to our Printer Partners.

 

What platforms does Calendar Mine run on?

Calendar Mine runs on Windows 95, 98,2000, and NT 4.0. Currently, we do not have an Apple Macintosh version.

 

What is the warranty?

If our program does not run properly on a customer's PC simply collect the CDs and we will refund the customer's money. If a customer is unhappy with his/her calendar for any reason we will try to fix the problem. If we can not fix the problem, then we will refund their money. RPM Development has a reputation for high customer satisfaction, and we would like to continue it. If you ever feel that our calendars or service do not meet your standards, let us know and we will do our best to correct the issue. We want our products to reflect positively on you as well as on us.

 

What about support?

We support our product via email. During the business day, we typically reply to support emails in one or two hours. Support may be more limited on holidays, and off-hours. Customers also have the option of calling us directly at our main phone number if they feel that the email support is inadequate.

 

Who produces the calendar CDs?

For small orders we will produce your CDs in-house. This gives the quickest turn-around time. For larger orders, the CDs will be printed by printers, who have the capacity to reproduce large volumes of CD-ROM. Currently, we have several such printers we work with. Regardless of who prints the CDs, the configuration of the calendar, and the quality control of your order is still handled by us.

If your shop has the ability to reproduce CD-ROM's and would like to be considered as one of our printers, please let us know. We are always looking for reliable vendors who do quality work.

 

How is payment made?

For small custom orders, payment is due when we deliver the customized CDs. Payment can be made using check or credit card. Credit card payments can be made through our web site, www.CalendarMine.com, or by phone.

For larger orders, we require that you collect a deposit from your customer. Specific details can be determined at the time we quote the order.

 

How many images can a customer put into a custom calendar?

Our customized calendar currently supports two options for images:

• 12 images one per month
• Unlimited images, the calendar will randomly choose one for display

Each image can be a composite of more than one picture. Also each image can be accompanied by title, subtitle, and description text.

Please note there are additional charges for scanning over 12 images for the calendar.
